The iPod Nano is one of the two most recent arrivals from Apple’s iPod division. It is an extremely tiny version of the regular iPod and is featured in a variety of smaller memory sizes between one and four gigabytes. However, as soon as any new product is released, people love to go out and make their purchase completely their own. This is where the iPod Nano case comes in. Not all cases however serve to enhance the already good looks of the iPod Nano, many are also designed to protect the flimsy portable digital media player from scratches and divots in the screen and frame.

To protect your several hundred dollar investment, Apple offers a free iPod Nano case to everyone who purchases one from their stores. Additionally, Apple sells a wide variety of other cases to keep your Nano safe. The first, and most expensive, is the Italian leather case. This is an all black case with the Apple logo emblazoned on the front. Your iPod gracefully slides into it and is completely protected by the hand stitched leather sheath. Unfortunately, you cannot view the screen or manipulate the control wheel while your iPod Nano is encased in this leather sheath. For those who like to take their Nano with them to work out, Apple has developed the iPod Nano case in the form of an armband. This straps around your arm with Velcro at any location you choose and holds your iPod firmly and snugly. You can view the screen and access the control wheel while it is encased in the armband. Clocking in at the same price as the armband, Apple’s Tubes are a series of protective silicon films that keep your iPod Nano safe from any abrasions to the frame. While in the Tube, the iPod Nano’s screen and control wheel are still accessible.

Protection aside, an iPod Nano case can also make your iPod look absolutely beautiful. iBling cases house over seven hundred crystals to make your iPod sparkle and shine as if it were made of precious gems. The MicroWallet is a small iPod Nano case which makes your digital media player look as if were clothed by Louis Vuitton. Finally, the Iconz series of add-ons will let you show off your favorite cartoon characters and sports teams with brilliant logos on the front of your iPod Nano.
